Dr. P. Dayanand Pai is a prominent educationist, philanthropist and leading developer in Bengaluru. Apart from being the Managing Trustee of VSEG, Dr. P. Dayanand Pai is also the Life Trustee of BMS Educational Trust, Pro-Chancellor of BMS University and the Chancellor of Vidyashilp University. He is also a former syndicate member of Manipal University, Mangalore University and the National Institute of Technology, Surathkal and a former Trustee of Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan and Karnataka Chitrakala Parishad. Dr. P. Dayanand Pai has also been the Treasurer of Karnataka State Cricket Association (K.S.C.A) and Marketing Committee Member of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (B.C.C.I).

Dr. P. Dayanand Pai has been awarded the Karnataka Udyog Award, the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award and the Aryabhatta Award for initiatives involving social and charitable activities. He was conferred an Honorary Doctorate – D. Lit by Mangalore University for his exceptional contribution in the field of education and philanthropy.
